OpenID 2.0 for Google Accounts is going away

Greetings everyone !

I am planning to add google-connect & facebook-connect to my D7.1.5 site, but not sure if we have Mods for this that are up to date..

I came across this mod by Deanos at:  http://www.boonex.com/m/deanos-google-connect

and was wondering if it will still work since google is no longer using OpenID 2.0 & will be replaced by OpenID Connect instead.  Not sure if we have similar Mods on the market..

My Google connect module uses the Google+ API. It uses OAuth 2.0 and not OpenID. Because OpenID is not used, the module will not be affected by the change.
