Orca Navigation Menus

Can someone give me a hint on how to fix the Orca Forum Navigation Menus, I looked around Boonex and could not find info on this. IMHO, Boonex would do good to set up a Wiki where Dolphin could be fully documented by the community.

Note that I do not have RMS installed. I just have the basics installed for testing purposes, and plan to educate myself well before setting up any live sites. I'm well versed in wed design, just not the internal workings of Dolphin.

I'm assuming the navigation links now showing are language holders. IE [L[Forums]], [L[Manage Forum]], [L[Reported Posts]], [L[Compile Lang:]]en, etc. It's obvious to me that this is an install error, possibly related to missing components due to the basic installation. As is, the forums are completely usable, so I'm looking to either correct the install error at play, or code the fix so that the Orca navigation menus display properly. I did take a look at the language manager, but could not find documentation. I'm entering my second day with Dolphin and just looking for clues.

TIA

Click on the compile language en link and compile the language, this should fix your problem ( you need to be logged in as admin to do this)

Thank you for the feedback deansyme. However, I already tried this and it didn't work. I checked the language file to confirm that it was compiled successfully, and it was. I also cleaned all caches in Dolphin, as well as the cache of my browser to ensure I wasn't reloading an old page, but I still get place holders.

To fix the problem, login as admin then go to http://www.yoursite.com/forum/ . You will see three links at the top of the right block . The links are shown below.

Manage Forum  Reported Posts   Compile Language:en

This is where you should compile the forum language. I think you have been looking at the general language manager instead of this.

Thanks modzzz and all, that was the one. Makes sense now since each module has its own set of language needs. A good one I'll keep in mind from herein. Much appreciate your help.

Cool
