Page Links

I have noticed on some of my links 2 different things.

One is " /m " and the other (when you create a new page) is " /page "

Can someone explain whet each of these are and how I can remove them, if possible.

(I searched for about an hour and couldnt find anything)

Thank You in advance

Both are permalinks, which use Apache's rewrite module (mod_rewrite) and the .htaccess file located under the installation's root directory.  It allows for more appealing URLs, instead of viewPage.php?etc. and /modules/?r=etc.  You can disable permalinks under Administration -> Settings -> Permalinks.

/m/ is for modules and /page/ is for pages.  Some modules don't use /m/, such as blogs and forums.

Nathan, thank you for the response. As many times as I have been through the Admin section, that was the last place I thought to look. However, there is nothing there for new pages and no way to remove the " /m " because it shows " /modules " instead.

Any idea's or suggestions?
