Page source showing php code?

Is the program supposed to be printing a large portion of the php scripts in page source.  I'm viewing the differnet page sources and I'm finding that a good 500 lines of php are plainly displayed in the page source.

I want to add that 500 lines of code shows up when the Boonex server was down, and it displayed itself in the page source while the server was down.  Once the boonex server went up the lines of code disappeared.
