PageView cache cannot be evaluated. Please recompile

Hello.

I have tried to install one plugin (Sie's Join from: http://www.boonex.com/m/Site_s_Join), i followed all the steps from the manual file and i'm face this error: PageView cache cannot be evaluated. Please recompile.

I did cleared the cache and cache_public and nothing, except the main page (vestiri.com) si blank. All other pages load the headers but not the content files (nothing between header and footer).

Probably this because i edited the file /base/scripts/BxBaseIndexPageView.php - added requested piece of code at the end of the file, like the manual said. Then i tried to insert the other code requested in sys_page_compose in my DB. At the end i deleted it too...

Please help.

Thanks in advance and sorry for my english.

Ok. i replaced the file /base/scripts/BxBaseIndexPageView.php with the original one, the one token from a fresh download of D7.0.9. Now the frontpage is not blank anymore, it's showing the same like every other pages in my site - the error (PageView cache cannot be evaluated. Please recompile) is still up there and is not displaying the content, just the header and footer content.

I cleaned both cache folders and both of them have 777 permissions.

Please Help. Thanks.

I've had that happen to an install I was working on one time and it was because the permissions were not correct or got unset.

Via your admin, go to host tools and check to see if you've got all the permissions set properly. If you see "red" text under the current level column then that means the permission was not set for that file or folder.

Ok, i went to http://www.vestiri.com/administration/host_tools.php and the only problem seems to be here, in Software requirements:

  • disable_functions = socket_create, show_source, system, shell_exec, passthru, exec, popen, proc_open, phpinfo - FAIL (must be = )

In /administration/host_tools.php it's all green (writables and executables) . Php Info in the same panel swows me nothing but  blank page, and in Cache Engines:

EAccelerator No No
Memcache No No
APC No No
XCache No No

I still don't know what to do. I appreciate your hekp, thanx.

The cache engines are optional. File cache is the default.

As for the php settings, you shoud see a green "OK" after the setting. Here's an example.

One question, was your install working before?

Everything was fine until i tried to instal the module. Now the problem seems to be right where you told me:

  • allow_url_fopen = On - OK
  • allow_url_include = Off - OK
  • magic_quotes_gpc = Off - OK
  • memory_limit = 268435456 - OK
  • post_max_size = 67108864 - OK
  • upload_max_filesize = 67108864 - OK
  • register_globals = Off - OK
  • safe_mode = Off - OK
  • short_open_tag = On - OK
  • disable_functions = socket_create, show_source, system, shell_exec, passthru, exec, popen, proc_open, phpinfo - FAIL (must be = )
  • php module: curl = curl - OK
  • php module: gd = gd - OK
  • php module: mbstring = mbstring - OK
  • php module: xsl = xsl - OK
  • php module: json = json - OK
  • php module: openssl = openssl - OK
  • php module: mysqli = mysqli - OK
  • php module: ftp = ftp - OK

I don't know how can i manage this.

hmmm...Installing a module should in no way affect your php.ini file. I am very familiar with AntonLV's work and I doubt it's his mod that would cause your php.ini to be altered.

Who are you hosted with?

It's a romanian hosting, don't believe you have heard Romarg.

Who are you hosted with?

But i think it is possible to be that modifiction i did to sys_page_compose file. If so, even if i deleted the piece of code provided, i can only think at replacing that file with another fresh one, but don't know if it can be supplied. I mean, there are my tables and stuff, and other one's installation it's useless for me.

And i just found this:

  • Web-server: LiteSpeed
    • rewrite_module - UNDEFINED (try to check manually: apachectl -M 2>&1 | grep rewrite_module)

Anyway, one or two days before i did a backup for my database, and now when i tried to restore data from dump it says: Error. Database query error. Embarassed

vestiri,

Dolphin is very specific about server settings and it must match in order for your install to work properly. Even for a slightly mis-matched server, it will work but not completely.

For example, around 6:54 of this dolphin install tutorial I did, it shows the permissions that need to be applied and intact. Otherwise, your install will not work.

Check out the Dolphin hosting requirements here at BoonEx and make sure your server matches the configuration.

I've successfully installed hundreds of Dolphin sites and as long as the server matches the hosting requirements, then it will work. I've installed on Mac, Ubuntu, Windows and Linux. The bottom line is that the server must match the configuration.

Thank you very much jtadeo. But everything was all right until i decided i can modify files... everthing in the frontend and in the backend was normal, i installed all the modules and nothing goes wrong.

And i'm not so good at this to know if my hot is fullfulling the requirements. But i'm thinking that if everything was fine it's just my fault with these errors, and not of the server's.

Anyway, yhanks again. Since there are only a few members registered i will reinstall D. and try to not make some major modifications.. maybe just in .css files, where i can guess what is all about :)
