Paying members

I want all my members to pay on registration. How can U do that ? The standard membership does not allow me to set a price to it and on the other side I cannot get rid of it....

Any idea someone?

You can do anything with a computer that you imagine the computer doing.  Please do not use the word can't in reference to website design/coding again please. 

Now, on to your topic, I don't do pay sites myself, but I know this can be done.  I believe I even saw a mod for pay on join over at expertzzz.com, it's been awhile but I'm sure it's still there.  Even if it's an old out of date mod, it might get you pointed in the right direction on this.

TY but I have bought a mod already and ended up receiving a refund from the developer because he does not sell it he says...but it still in the mods for sale section.

Since you tell me not to say "I can'T", maybe you could tell me how I can remove standard membership from my site?

Use firebug to locate the sourc file of the specific membership type (ie what file handles membership types) and code out Standard Member or you can go into Admin and turn off all functions for standard members and give a statement that you must join if you wish to do anything on the site that pops every time they click anything.  You can do the statement via language keys if you need to.

TY for your help mydatery. I already di the 2nd option you mention but I realized that a standard member, even if I removed all the actions he could perform, can still access mail, forum, groups, and other sections of the site. :S

I tried Firebug but I am not sure what to do since the standard membership is related to the dabase and it's a default assignation. On join page you do not see "Standard", yet it is assigned to the account by default.

Or can't we decide which membership by default the new member will be assigned to? That could probably be possible by changing some code?

Do you have your site running in free mode?  Let me know, if you don't then I will flag this for Boonex to review the issue.  PM me with your site URL and I'll have them contact you after reviewing the site directly if they have any questions.  Not sure if this is a bug or if it's a problem with your site specific as like I said before, I don't do paid sites myself.
