Performance issues (7.0.6)

My issue is that when you try to load any profile, it takes a very long time. All other sections load quickly. I verified that mod_rewrite is functioning correctly by observing other permalinks loading just fine. Also, if try to load a profile using the userID number rather than username, it still loads just as slow.

Does anyone have any idea why only profiles are taking a long time to load? I went into the host tools and verified that my php configuration is well above specs. I also verified that at the time of a profile loading, both CPU and RAM are NOT running high. There doesn't seem to be anything on the hardware side that could be causing a slow down.

My web server is a HP ProLiant DL380 G4 with 2 dual core CPU's with hyperthreading and 8GB of RAM. My database server is a quad core xeon with hyper threading and 8GB of RAM. My website has only a little over 500 users.

Any ideas?

I just timed it and it took over 3 minutes just to view a profile.

Do you have any custom blocks on the profile page?

I would start in the page builders and drag all blocks to inactive. Then bring each one back in, one at a time and check the load speed. See if you can isolate it to one block that's causing the hangup.

I do not have any custom page blocks on the profile page. Would this logic still apply? Like should I still remove all blocks and add them one by one?

Yes.

My guess is a problem with one of the blocks on the page. If all the other pages are fine then this is the only thing i can think of to explain it.

I agree with deano here.  there is a long mysql quary gone bad on the profile view page for sure.  I have seen this with the open social module installed a few times as well.
