Periodic Reports

I'm new to Dolphin 7 and it's been a good experience so far.  I did a fresh install a little more then a week ago and I was receiving one periodic report, right around midnight, each day for a week... and then they stopped.

I was checking around in the forum and tried a few things but still haven't got them to work again.  Any ideas???

The "cron job" is what sends this email out at midnight. If you have Cpanel check at make sure the cron job is still there. Does your video processing still work?

Yes, my cron job is listed in cPanel.

Yes, I was able to upload and, after processing, play a 5.4MB wmv video.

Is it possible the periodic report emails started going to your spam folder?

Nope. no mail in my spam folder.

A few days ago I set the cron job to send me an email when it runs.  Just got one from the video processing.  I haven't seen anything else other than 3 error messages today - I don't think they are related.  Error is mysql_query() not a valid MySQL link resource in db.inc.php on line 48, 49...  I'm told it's just a "busy signal" on the MySQL database - nothing to worry about until it becomes really frequent.  Thoughts?

 When you say you set the cron job to send an email when it runs what did you change?

I did not change anything with the cron job. I wasn't receiving the reports so started to investigate.  In cPanel there is a spot to enter an email to be notified of any running cron jobs.  That's all.  Since I added that email in there (I believe on Saturday) I have only received messages today... 3 MySQL errors and 1 ffmpeg video log.

Ohhh, I understand now. Those 3 today were output from the cron itself. The ones that were coming at midnight were from Dolphin.

Try this... go to the "contact us" form and fill it out.. then see if you get that email. I can't see any reason Dolphin would have stopped sending the db cleaning email so I'm thinking there is some other reason it isn't getting to your inbox.

Yes! I magically recieved my period report this morning!!!  Not sure what was done to fix it, perhaps the next time it stops I should upload another video???
