Placing a watermark on Videos is still not possible in 7.09?

Hello,

on this topic I only foundold posts where it do not seem to work to set your watermark on Videos.

I saw that in PHP-motion (which is free!) you could get watermarks. Below is the howto.

What stops Dolphin for having the same possibility to add your own watermark logo to the Videos?

Is there anyone that have it working for them?

Video watermarking is possible with Dolphin 7.0.9 but it requires several steps to get it working.

As for PHP-motion, I'm familiar with their app and it requires ffmpeg to be compiled on the server. This basically means you need a dedicated server or a VPS that will allow you to compile the libraries required for compilation.

One of the key issues is making sure the codecs you pack into the compile match up with what you are using for the watermark. For example, the codec for PNG is not easily available the last time I tried to compile a custom ffmpeg binary. There are some workarounds but PNG is definitely the preferred codec.
