Every time I try to set up a cron job using cpanel I get an AJAX error message.  I used the command lind that the install script gave to me.  What gives??  If anyone can help me set up the cron job PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

Cut and paste exactly what you are putting in the box that says "command".

I'm sorry, it's been so long I no longer have the command line for the cron job.  Is it possible to get it back?

Well, I did that and I have created a cron job.  Cool!  No AJAX error!

...How do I know if it is working?

upload a test video. I will start processing after a minute or two..

If it never processes it may not be correct.

Ok... I uploaded a test video.  It's in .wmv format.  It seems to be stuck on processing.  It's there and I can see the picture of it but I can't get it off processing.  I've searched the forums for topics like this and I have made sure that ffmpeg is set to 777...

When I go to admin>>modules>>videos>>processing

There is nothing there...

Safe to assume cron is not working?  my exact path to the cron is:

/usr/local/bin/php -q /home/ryanslin/public_html/castrationfantasy.com/main/periodic/cron.php

I have spaces before and after -q

All I have left to say is: http://www.ryanslinks.com/bash.gif

A five minute video can take about four to five minutes to process, this depends if you have the .H264 turned off in the flash video module, if not it may take a lot longer!

When you setup the cron job, how often did you set cron to run. Should be setup to run once every minute.

So if you did not do that. If for example, you had it set to once per day at midnight then the video would be processed when cron fires at midnight. So how often cron is run will also affect how long you have to wait for the video to be processed.

I use Host Gator as my hosting provider.  I can only run a cron job once every 15 minutes.  I set the cron to run once every 15 minutes at 01:35 pm. The time now is 02:01 pm.  The video is still being processed.

:(  <-- really sad face.
