Please help me understand MATCHMAKING

Is there a primer somewhere on how to configure the matchmaking system?? Does it even work?

Normally the first thing I do when I install Dolphin is turn "Matchmaking" off. The only thing it does it flood your members with a million emails. Once the emails start going out and then bouncing back you will have a nightmare on your hands. To answer your question, no it doesn't.. turn it off.

Thanks for the response. I went ahead and turned it off for now--thanks for the suggestion--but surely there's  some logic behind the design. The problem is that no one seems to understand it.  I wish one of the administrators would weigh in. Matchmaking is an important aspect of a dating site, isn't it?
