Polls and Blogs Missing

Firstly, sorry for multiple posts below - not sure what happened there, whether it was from my end or server end.  So, anyway ....

Hi,

I have installed Dolphin for someone and they are seeing some strange behaviours I can't figure out.  Perhaps someone has seen them before ...

1.  Posting a new poll, it does not show on the front page in polls section, nor in admin anywhere.  The only way to see it is by going to 'My Polls' in the account of the member who created it.

2.  Pretty much the same as number 1, but for blogs instead of polls.

Any ideas, anyone?

Thanks.

A further update - maybe it will help someone offer a solution ...

Regarding blogs, it seems it is all related to the blog posts not being approved.  When you create a blog post, it is set in the database table 'BlogPosts' as either approval or disapproval.  If it is set to approval, everyone can see it on the site.   If it is set to disapproval, only the member who posted it can see it, in their 'My Blog' section.  On this site, all blog posts were set to disapproval in the database, and presumably in that case they should show in admin to be approved, but they are not.  I set them to approval state in the database, and they are now showing up.  I also changed the setting for AutoApproval to yes from admin, and new posts now get set to approval as they should. So we have 2 possible workarounds:
a.)  Have blog posts set to AutoApproved
b.)  Set them to not autoapprove, and manually approve them through phpmyadmin.

Neither is really a good solution as you can understand I am sure.
