Possible 2 Different Homepages?

Hi,

I'm new to Dolphin and I have the following question:

How can I make 2 Homepages?

1. Intro page, when not logged in (with only Register & Login form)

2. Normal page, when logged in.

So, when users come to my Homepage, they must only see a Register & Login Form (no menu's, etc.)

Only after successfull login, the users will be redirected to the Official Homepage.

Is this possible with the default Dolphin, or do I need a module for it?

Thanks in advance,

Olaf.

I believe it can be done, but why would you want to?

As a visitor to a site, I would not join if I could not see what was on the site - I could be signing up for anything. You will get more members if you allow people to see the content of your site before they join.

Just an oppinion

You need a splash screen, plenty in market to buy.

Otherwise, you can set your page blocks to be viewable to members only on homepage, then insert html blocks for non members only to view and make these link up to Register / login etc, or just have the normal log in block on home page. This disappears when you log in anyway.

Thanks!

I will try it, otherwise I will buy a module if it is indeed on the market.

It is my intention, that visitors won't see the content of the website because:

The Website I'm building is a Community Website, for family only and for privacy reasons
I wan't to block all content for unauthorised access and only viewable with an Account.

Thanks,

Olaf.

I believe you can create a new index.html and logging on will lead to your main page. The advantage of this is that you can design it however way you want it. But consider also using dolphin admin page to make your content only viewable by members, that way you can choose what you want the public to see.

another friendly suggestion. though it involves a 3rd party module, but one that will serve a dual purpose in your case i do believe:

the subscriptions module from martinboi

http://www.boonex.com/m/Dolphin_7_Membership_Subscriptions_Module

so you can redirect all 'guests' to the join.php, then all members would login as normal, and you could redirect them to whichever page you wanted to load for them.

just  a suggestion:

but the dual purpose here would be that you now have the guest redirected and a top quality payment module for memberships.

Let me tell you what I did once.  I just created an index.html put all my rules on that page and made a link at the bottom of the page to my join.php. just put index.html in your root directory and it will come up before index.php
