Presence Opens IM with Wrong User

For some reason, when I click the IM button in my Presence, it often opens an IM session with the wrong user.  The recipient is incorrect in the address.  I don't know what would cause this, really... I saw that someone else mentioned compiling the language file fixed it for them, but that didn't seem to have an effect for me.

Well, I can appreciate the time you spent on that.  And I'm not going to be sarcastic and belittling in return.  I'm a moderator on a forum for a media CMS, and I can really understand the frustration you must've experienced when you assumed I hadn't searched before posting.

I used your search terms (presence wrong), and the results returned did not include anyone asking the question I'm asking.  I could easily be wrong, but I'm guessing that either my question was confusing (poorly worded), or you didn't have time to really read it.

I had actually tried that posted solution to the problem that was somewhat similar to mine, but it created new issues (random offline users now displayed as online in Presence).  I guess this may be one of those take-what-you-can-get situations.

BTW, do you know the process around here as far as replying?  Do they prefer people to tag onto existing threads if their issue is remotely similar, or do they like to be able to mark individual threads as "Solved"?

You can open a new thread or use an existing one, in this case it's probably better to tag onto the existing thread as your issue is very similiar, in reality, attempting the fix has caused a different issue for you, so I'd say they are related.  Also, that way the person who created the fix might be able to help steer you in the right direction with it further.

Sorry if the search pics seem a little harsh, but it does get old answering the same old questions, figured you've been with Unity long enough (longer than me) you'd be able to take that.
