Noow i have another website http://www.faker.eu and there the Boonex logo is vieable.
I must pay 299$ to have a new licence, but are there possibilities to have licence for cheaper?
I don't want delete the logo with hardcode, i even don't know how to do it.
It's not the question how to do it, but maybe some people have licence to sell for half price or so?
Or maybe special voucher... i don't want pay again thousand $ for something that maybe gonna work....

I believe for every site you should have a separate license. Otherwise it's obviously makes no sense for Boonex' business.

There should be a discount for multiple licenses. If you don't see it when ordering, contact BoonEx and ask about it. However, the license system will be gone when 7.2 is released, so there won't be a banner. You might want to wait the 2-3 months (estimated) for this. The 32-some modules will be sold individually in the market, but license holders will have download access to all BoonEx-made modules, so there's no need to rebuy. Six weeks ago in This Topic I pointed out to you that Trend Micro AV flags this site as one that transmits malicious software. Nothing has changed.
I guess I'll just stop pointing that out, because you apparently do not care.

Free license ? that's mean from 2 to 3 month anyone could download dolphin for free and use it without paying a license is that what you mean ?
Basically we paid for the license while others won't pay ? is that right ?

No. 7.2 will not require a license. Instead, the core modules will be spun-off into separate modules and available to buy in the market. Current license holders will have access to all current and future BoonEx-released modules, so they're unaffected by these changes. Users who don't have a license will need to buy the modules from the market for however much BoonEx charges.

I think that's the worst move ever happen ! People can access to all the modules on the internet isn't ? Of course Illegally.
Anyway I'm objecting to this move .

You have ALWAYS been able to use Dolphin for free without paying for a license. The license has never been mandatory.

You are right ! But with boonex logo everywhere :) Proud Hosted by Zarconia.net |
I wouldn't be surprised if 7.2 introduces the oAuth link to BoonEx, so it can check if you have a license or otherwise bought the individual modules. I'm not sure how things will work, but I'm sure BoonEx has something drawn up. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |

I am thinking it is going to use the same method as Trident. This change in licensing is going to affect those using 7.1.x with attribution; it may lock them into the 7.1.x version or worst, trash their sites. Say I am using 7.1.5 with attribution and I have several modules installed on my site that will be switched to licensed based. If Boonex uses the same upgrade system that will allow one to move from 7.1.5 to 7.2 by an update patch it could screw up existing sites. At the least there needs to be a big red flashing banner if you upgrade you will lose your groups module!
Andrew needs to outline exactly what is going to happen and how it may or may not affect 7.1.x users.
Geeks, making the world a better place |
Am I right in understanding that all the work I am doing on 7.1.5 might be for nothing as a newer version is coming out soon being 7.2 and that is totally different.
If that is so! as there are no posting dates on these posts can you please tell me when all this is due to be happening. Cheers

To get an idea of what will change with Dolphin when 7.2 is released you can look at the Trac.
Boonex is going to remove attribution from Dolphin; what this means is that you don't have to include Boonex's name and links back to Boonex. However, the platform will no longer come with all of the Boonex modules for free. There may be some included or maybe none of them will be included; that is yet to be determined by Boonex; or at least stated by Boonex. Boone's modules will be offered in the Market just like third party modules. The exact way that will be handled has not been announced; probably through a license is my guess. However, Boonex has stated that if you currently hold a license for Dolphin, you will get all the modules included.
As far as I know, there is nothing in the works that will change what someone is currently doing with Dolphin.outside of the change in including the modules. If you were planning on buying a license, then that won't affect you. If you were planning on keeping attribution in place and having the modules, then yes, one won't be able to upgrade to 7.2 without buying some or all of the modules they may now be using.

Yeah, because you are the only one that say that to me and all the other don't.
When i ask, others say, i don't see the problem.
So maybe uninstall this of software because it give a false alarm.
Maybe later i can look for it, but i can't do it only bacause of one guy say this to me.
I have lot of other problems to resolve first.

Yeah, because you are the only one that say that to me and all the other don't.
Not all of us run trendmicro. Two people mentioned it in that other post.
But it's easy enough to look up on trend micros site. http://global.sitesafety.trendmicro.com/ Just put your site URL in at that link i provided and it will tell you it's on their dangerous list.
I just looked it up myself and confirmed it.

I don't know about the web check part of Trend Micro, but their anti-virus software has always been known for false positives. It is not an anti-virus proggy that I would depend on.
I did the check and all it states is:
The latest tests indicate that this URL contains malicious software or phishing.
I want a bit more than that; what malicious software, what phishing? How do we not know that this is another Trend Micro false positive?
Geeks, making the world a better place |
The only point I was trying to make, is that all the owner of faker.eu has to do, is submit the url for reclassification. That effort is a real time vampire, and will suck up nearly 30 seconds of time. Whether it's a false positive or not, is irrelevant.... it'll be the same response for anyone that uses TrendMicro and visits the site.

Agreed. You might not use TrendMicro, but some people do, and they could be potential users. Once they see that warning in their browser, they'll steer clear into the other direction. Getting it removed is easy and it's really something that should be done as part of normal webmaster duties. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
Hello Nathan Paton, my site is on your server.
Can you look what Houstonlively want to explain?

Yes i care, but i see no solution.

I believe Houston wrote about what to do way back when he first reported this. You can read on how to have TrendMicro re-review a site from here: http://esupport.trendmicro.com/en-us/home/pages/technical-support/1096819.aspx
We can also provide assistance if you open a support ticket from our client area. But the steps outlined in that article are all that's needed to have this cleared up.
Edit: Deano also posted on what to do above.
