Private Forum

Why does the frontpage show the recent post made in a private forum????

Because if two complete strangers can get into a private event at the White House, they can also see the feed from your private forums. It's complicated.

^ Funny Guy!!

You are talking about when a guest or certain membership levels views your website right?  Make sure your permissions are set correctly so that guest/membership levels can't see private forums and/or your private forum is not set to allow guest/un-preferred member viewing.

Its just on the front page where it shows recent forum post and on the forum on the left where it shows recent forum post....   It shows the post made in the private forum but when you click it it will say access denied....   So whats the point of it being private if people can read it where it displays recent forum post???

I would think if I posted something in a forum and someone did not have rights to view it then they shoudl not be able to see it on the recent pforum post either....

I just found out the same. So is there any way we can hid the post in private forum not to show in the Forum Posts block both on the front page and the forum Index page?

Probably for the same reason that private photos are also shown, simple answer is Boonex designed it that way and it won't change any time soon.  Orca is at most marginally integrated into dolphin, changing its settings to intelligently display forum post will not happen.  I really do wish they would hire a usability designer to help with these types of issues, they're all code writers and literally cannot see what a problem this is.
