Problem on my Menu links

I was editing my lang-en for the about us, privacy and FAQ but when I saved the file I realized that some of my menu buttons on my site appeared as follows: Avatar, membership, Ad, blog, poll, photo, sound, video, map, site and all category of spy, forum, chat,  … buttons appeared on my site with the _BX_such as:    _BX_ava_avatar, _bx_spy_all, …  why this happened ?

Try recompiling your language files.

I hope you were not editing the actual lang-en.php file. You can edit this information from the Admin Panel>Settings>Language Settings. While you are there, put a checkmark next your default language and click compile.

You may need to clear you cache as well.

The First Commandment of Dolphin:  Thou Shalt NOT edit the language strings via the language files.  Thou Shalt feel the wrath of an evil Dolphin trashing many parts of their site if thou does edit the lang-en.php (or any similiar language) files.

Keeping that in mind, you need to go to your Admin Panel, Settings, Language Settings and recompile the Language.  If you want to edit the Language Strings you MUST do it via the Admin Panel and NOT via the lang-en.php file.  The lang-en.php file is written from the DB and will just cause you many, many errors if you mess with it.  After you alter the strings in the Admin panel, you must clear the cach (suggest you turn it off) and then refresh the page to see the changes.

The Second Commandment of Dolphin:  Thou shalt not act, without asking for clarification when one does not understand how to do something.

Thank you for following "The Second Commandment of Dolphin".

Login to yoursite.com/administration/

Next Click on Settings and then click on Language Settings.

You will see the 3rd box down says Language files.  It has a pink bar below it with a select all little check box and then a button that says "Compile".  Go ahead and drop a checkmark into the "Select All" box by clicking on it, and then click on "Compile".  This will recompile your language file.  Please note:  All changes you made by editing the file directly will be lost.  You need to edit your language strings in this screen by doing a search for them and then editing them from this same screen.

A recompile should fix him.  If not, then we will have to send in the "Dolphin Killers" to rid the site of all the evil dolphins before they kill to many people.  Whatever you do, do NOT feed the Evil Dolphins after Midnight Boonex Time.
