Ok folks - not sure who else does / doesn't have this issue. Throwing this one out there:
In an older site I have - with 7.0.0 - I can drop adsense script on an HTML block and it works perfectly.
In this newer version - 7.0.1 - which has some more "fancified" script/code input dialogue - I can try to insert the exact same code but the new HTML block will CHANGE the script when it saves so an adsense block will not work.
Here is an example:
Should be able to drop in this: (some code x'd out for the example)

But when you hit save - for a brief moment - the new 7.0.1 html block changes that code to this:

And the script will not work.
Only thing I can think of is to find where that data saves in the SQL - input it directly - and see if that works. Otherwise - thanks to the new html block in 7.0.1 - I cannot get the adsense blocks to work. In 7.0.0 - I can add adsense blocks all day with no issues. Both sites are on the same server and with the same conditions - only difference is that one is 7.0.0 and the other is 7.0.1 with the new html block.
Thanks for the upgrade boonex.

Actually here's a better question:
How can I get the old 7.0.0 html block working again in 7.0.1? That would most likely resolve this.
|
Looking at this a little closer - thinking it might be tinymce stripping the html when I save it - digging around now for the right file to tweak. Would appreciate if ANYONE has an idea how I can simply revert back to the simple HTML Block from 7.0.0 rather than edit the code like this.

Yet another question -
Anyone know simply how to disable tinymce? Or simply switch the editor over so it uses the simple page editor for the html block and not the advanced?
Thanks,
Rick

There should be a button in the TinyMCE menu to open an HTML editor window. If not, you can always add the code to the block item in question by editing it's entry in the database.

I still have the same problem
only shows an empty block

I only changed one of my site to 7.0.1 and have the same problem with inserting google adsense into the site. I guess it could be done via "Banners" but I like to put them where I want.
@kingofalltrades, If you have another 7.0.0 site setup, notice when you "edit" the html box you do not have the "Tiny MCS editor".. 7.0.1 does, someone chime in to help here.
I'm glad I did not upgrade my 7.0 sites yet..most are adsense supported.
I notice in the admin setting Advance Settings, options "Enable TinyMCS in comments:" ; is there a setting to turn "Tiny MCS editor" off for 7.0.1 "HTML Block"?

true @Magnussoft, but the script is stripped even using the HTML editor window; and your left with an empty box...

Well, there is one way it will work, without any interference from a trigger-happy filter: direct-insertion of the AdSense code into the page block item's table in the database.

I knew you would say that..lol I'm not too good at that..

Re: Custom HTML block.
I must admit I am going stir crazy with my HTML being stripped away as well.
I ended up settling for something differnt to what I really wanted.
I am not at all comfortable doing it within the database but I'll give it a go if I need to.
Where should I be looking in the database?

yes, I asked a question earlier in the thread. It never has been answered.
I notice in the admin setting Advance Settings, options "Enable TinyMCS in comments:" ; is there a setting to turn "Tiny MCS editor" off for 7.0.1 "HTML Block"?
Is this the fix?

No. Unfortunately TinyMCS still shows up *half the time*.

Hello To solve the problem. Delete the following code: <! [CDATA [ Your code should be below:
 |
Try my fix here which should restore the HTML block to the way it worked in 7.0.0.

I had this problem too, but it seems that the issues has been resolved in Dolphin 7.0.4 |
I'm using 7.05 and it hasn't been resolved.
I'm trying to call an iframe showing how many users are in chat without success....

iframes are striped when added to an "HTML Block", you would have to edit your database to make the changes.
