Problem with Join form

I'm feeling pretty stupid... and tired... having problems with the Join form. Can't get it to work with Firefox & Opera (haven't tried IE or Chrome).

It just hangs. I've searched here and tried a couple of things, but have had no success. So maybe someone has some more advice for me...

Ok, so I'm now looking for quotes for someone to fix this and another problem I'm having with an RSS feed for a phpbb3 mod:

1.) Using Dolphin 7.0.1 and the Join.php form isn't working with Firefox/Opera (maybe others). It just hangs or does nothing.

2.) RSS feeds for the forum on the front page and some internal pages. Controlled through admin blocks. {SiteUrl}modules/?r=forums/rss, but I'm not running the forum through a module. The links generated send people to a wrapper and not to forums/ Not sure what file need to be changed.
