Problem with SMTP configuration.

"Email not send" received when I try to test send an email. 

I tried using my domain's SMTP to mail but that didn't work so I asked help from my hosting providers. They tried to troubleshoot but couldn't. So finally I decided to go with gmail's smtp. I tried all combinations af SSL,TLS; port numbers 25,26,465 and what not but still it shows the same message. I think that the problem is not with my hosting provider but with Dolphin itself. Could someone please help me figure out the problem?

are you using cpanel - does your account come with mail? if so - no need for the smtp module - mail will g out like it is supposed to without the smtp module. I have been using Dolphin since 2009 and have never used the smtp module.
