Problem with upgrade. Please help

I think I just screwed up something. I tried to upgrade from 7.1.6 to 7.2.0 using Filezilla. After extracting the upgrade files i upload content into public_html and removed .htaccess from the upgrade folder. However i got a blank page when I tried to access the URL path which looked like http://my-domain.com/public_html/upgrade

My website has also gone blank. Could someone please help me. Thanks!

from your example above i would think it should be  my-domain.com/upgrade

After trying what dolphin_jay suggested, if you still have problems send me a PM.  You did make a backup of your site files and database?
