Problems signing in

Is it just my computer or do others also have trouble signing into this site? I'll sometimes click on the sign in button 10-20 times to get in then when I change pages I'll be signed out and have to go thru the whole process again. This has been going on for me in here for years.

Sounds more like a problem with cookies on your computer.  Do you have anything running that controls cookies?

As GG said. You may have a cookie problem on your browser.

Or. Computer has JS problem, malware infestation, corrupt browser profile or any number of other things.

Before you buy a new computer, download malwarebytes antimalware and do a full scan of your computer.

You can download the free version and run it and remove any nasties.

Plus, you will be logged out if someone logs in your account from somewhere else or from another browser.

Well my computer crashed... Hard drive took a dump.  And I did get lucky there and bought one the other day. Did a full backup on a thumb drive so I didn't lose a thing but still have the same problem signing in here.

And I did download malwarebytes and ran the scan but of coarse it didn't seem to help.

Thanks for tryin...

Again I was having problems getting in to the site.  But this time I tried unchecking the box for "stay signed in for a week"  and it works fine. Doesn't make sense I know but it worked.

It may make some sense if the date on your computer is not correct. Have you checked it?

Well, this is not a java issue, but a cookie issue. And cookies that use expire dates are also effected by the clock.
