Profile Commenting

I've been sitting around the past 48 hours trying to figure out why I can't get Email Notifications  when someone comments on my profile or why they don't receive and email when I comment on their's

Apparently the issue is, you have to go to your profile and click "Subscribe" to receive any type of notification.Does anyone know a way around this?

Whoever thought of the whole OH GOSH.. lets put a subscribe button on MY OWN profile so I can get comment notifications , i'd like to throw in the ocean!!

maybe dolphin doesn't contain function for notification message when profile will commented

Also I was hoping that Dolphin would fix the Email Notification issues instead of me having to buy a Mod to fix crap that should be included. Email Notifications for "New Mail" in a person's box is NOT being sent out. This is really ticking me off.

There must be something wrong with your installation or your settings. I've never used my D7 mail before having read your topic and I'm not subscribed to anything on our D7 site either. Well, I just logged in, went to write email, and then wrote a one sentence test message to another user (my wife) who's located on another system, currently not logged in. I just used the member name as the recipient, not an actual email address. I also checked all 3 boxes at the bottom, for keeping a copy of the mail and so on.

Well, I received a confirmation on my machine, my wife received the message that user blahblahblah sent her a message, and I have a copy in my sent items location. Seems to me like the mail is working properly and doing what it's supposed to do, without being subscribed to anything.

Maybe it has something to do with the type of user (standard, promotional, whatever) or the amount of privileges that have been enabled on the different types of accounts?

Mail Notifications Sometimes work for me.. However.. its the Profile Commenting Notifications..
