We're trying to figure out how we would enable members to customise their profiles, it seems really odd that all they can do is put a background image in and change fonts. We really wont be able to draw people to our sites if they cannot even use custom profile layouts on them, it's a massive part of sites like myspace etcetera, our members wont even be able to post html comments in profiles. I've seen the mod by antonlv (not sure on spelling there!) but $100 is extortionate in my personal view, has anyone here taken the plunge and parted with their hard earned bucks for that mod, does it even work?

We have considered other possibilities for our network, we have come to the conclusion that Dolphin is the best option available to us, the layout is very good and the code is solid, unlike abledating which is riddled with error saturated code, as is phpmyspace by the way. We were granted a charitable license for abledating for our religious group, oddly, when I tried getting support on their forum I was told I had no rights to complain about something I had got for free. Complaining, what an odd term to use, I had asked how to make some changes and wondered why they had slagged down phpbb software telling their customers they integrate a superior forum solution (punbb, yet they do infact integrate zforum, need I say more!) yet on their own support forum they are using phpBB2, go figure huh! We deleted their software and told them we did not wish to be associated with their company when they have such an appalling attitude. I mentioned Dolphin to them and they said it was inferior software and if we wanted to waste our time with rubbish software then that was our decision, they even have a statement on their site regarding free access social network software, they're really weird people! I posted my opinion on their stance and they simply censored me by deleting my topic, they're really devious people, I wouldn't trust them to tell me water was wet.

We are really stuck on how to enable profile customsation for future members, we are still trying to add content to our site so we are not too worried about drawing in members just yet, but when we are ready what will perspective members find, a site that is extremely limited in terms of personal expression, not a good start. Surely there has to be something in the pipeline for Dolphin with regards to profile customisation, I saw somewhere here that some code could be added to a file and customisation was possible in 6.004 or something like that, I forget the specifics just now, well, I've been searching for hours on end now and I've read so many posts on so many sites my eyes ache.
