Profile image not being loaded from join form

Ok, finally working on my sites again- everything now upgraded to 7.0.1  Testing the join form I noticed that when I upload an profile picture on the join form, then finish the join, the "add new avatar" doesn't display the picture.  Tested again with a different pic, and found no pics at all are being uploaded from the join form.  What now?  This worked before the upgrade - what should I be looking at to fix this?

Hi Caltrade, Why 7.0.1? This works in 7.02.

There are none so blind as those that will not see.

If this was fixed between 7.0..1 and 7.0.2 the fix should be in Trac.

Although I agree with Stuart, updating to 7.0.2 might be a better idea.

I'm sorry, that was a typo - I converted my sites from 7.0.0 to 7.0.2. with the appropriate two set process.  I followed the instructions like a cook book more or less, and didn't encounter any error conditions.  It worked in 7.0.0. but not in 7.0.2.   So the problem still stands?  Any ideas?

OK, I just tested again.  For superstitions sake,  I went into profile builder and move the profile fields block "ProfilePhoto" on the join form, and clear the cache.  Add a new record including a photo upload.  At the end of the join, a block with "add new Avatar" is displayed on the right, but there is no default image as there was before.  I can upload a new image, and it displays, but I am supposed to click on it to get the avatar sizing tool, and that never appears.  Anyone know what might be wrong?

I've done a bit more testing on this today.  The avatar cropping tool does work after the member has been approved, and does it from their own control panel - it just doesn't work from the join form.   Anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?

UPDATE: I just got it to partially work.  The profile picture upload still doesn't work - it doesn't even end up being stored at all as far as I can see, but the avatar upload will work independently.  Still testing, but I think it had something to do with my doing the tests on IE- using FF today.
