Profile photos and avatars

I'm just installed 7.9 and I can't figure out how anyone can upload profile photos or an avatar. The facility is there when they first join and complete their profile but unless they upload photos there and then the opportunity is denied them when they return to add more detail to their profile.

Hello

Avatar can be managed via User End -> My Account (Dashboard) menu -> Avatar.

Profile photos can be managed via User End -> Profile menu -> Photos. You need to select [NickName]'s photos album and upload images in it. In this case all uploaded  images wll appear in Profile page -> Profile Photos block.

Don't forget that Avatar and Photos modules should be installed. It can be done via admin panel -> tools -> modules.

Thank you Anton. I tried to install avatars and photos plus a few other modules and everything was 'Failed'. What would cause that?

Sometimes when installing modules it will say why it failed.  Can you post that?  Did both of them fail or only one?

What's next to fix D8 issues? D9? (=

On the right side of the failed message there should be a + that you can click to expand the message that shows the reason why it failed.

I ticked 8 boxes and they all failed.

Thanks Deano, here is the reason why:

Installation of: Avatar Failed

-- Check the Dolphin version for compatibility: The module is not compatible with your version of Dolphin script

That's odd because I downloaded 7.9 - never an upgrade and the template is as supplied.
