Program Migrating from 6.1.6 to 7.0

Hi,

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I couldn't find the post.

I recently installed D7 and was trying to migrate my old database of about 1700 members with photos and sound and videos from version 6.1.6 to D7.

I installed the module and when it asked me to put in the path to old dolphine, I put it in but it always comeup with this error: Sorry but directory or header.inc.php file was not found.

The old dolphin was installed in /home/yes411/public_html/connect/ and the new dolphin was installed in /home/yes411/public_html/space/

Any input would be helpful.  thank you

Your not going to be happy here.  Sorry.

You need to re-install D7 into the following directory:

/him/yes411/public_html/connect/space

D7 has to be in a sub-directory of D6, do the migration and then move it to the main directory of D6 or whereever you want it.

Thanks for letting me know, just one question, would it be possible that I can just move my currently directory to the sub directory location and change the values in inc/header.inc.php?

You can, just follow the instructions for moving a D7 install.

Really, it HAS to be a subdir? I installed our D7 in the same "parent" directory as D6, rather than a subdir of D6.

I just moved the new D7 into the subdirectory of D6.1.6, when I tried to use the migration module, it still give the same error of: Sorry but directory or header.inc.php file was not found.

any thoughts?
