 Just did the 7.0.1 upgrade and noticed that sounds and videos will not play. Though I can't be sure if they had stopped working before the update. The thumbnail for sounds is blank but uou can still see the video ones. When you go to play them they look like they are going to play but then don't. The play button appears but when you click on it the play button disappears as it should but then nothing. |
Did some more checking and it seems the permissions for the files directories in the flash modules were set to 777 but when I changed them to 755 everything started playing again. I thought I understood permissions but how giving less permissions works confuses the hell out of me. Can anyone shed any light on this? |

It happens on some servers. Some servers depending on what the host is using for software do not like 777 permissions. https://www.deanbassett.com |
