Hi!
So, I'm really just learning about Dolphin, and I have a specific need. I was hoping you all could tell me if Dolphin can do what I'm looking for.
On Tumblr, if you have a blog and invite people to submit their own content, they can upload text or pictures and once they hit "submit," it's up to you to approve or delete it. In other words, they've contributed it, but once it's out of their hands, they can't come back to your page and delete or edit it. Problem is, Tumblr won't let you handle video the same way b/c I guess they don't want video posted on their servers. So, contributors can submit video, but they have to embed it from other sites.
There are some video sites where people can upload their videos to my account, but those sites leave them with the ability to log back in down the road and delete the content they provided. I hate that b/c it leads to broken links and creates all kinds of problems.
So, what I'm wondering is if I could use Dolphin to build a site to host my videos where I could then give contributors access to upload their videos without giving them the ability to delete or edit their videos after the initial upload. I'm not opposed to deleting somebody's video for them if they have a problem with it down the road; I just don't want anybody to be able to delete video without telling me and screw up links I might have posted to that video.
I'm really new to all of this, so if you all could tell me if this is something I can set up using Dolphin I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks!
Ava
