I'm currently building a site for a client, new to Dolphin and so far I love it! That being said, I am running into a few issues:
When I have a drop down to select an item in the Edit Profile page, the first value is always shows. There are several sections of the profile page, some which don't apply to a specific member group, but they are still shown. Is there any way to hide this?
I'm having issues embedding YouTube links into the video gallery, and receive the Video failed to upload message. YouTube will be the only allowed video type, so it's a pretty big priority.
I've searched the forums for both of these issues and have tried a few things for the YouTube (updating the code from the repository pages, etc.), but no luck. Any fix for this?

I suggest you share a link to us of these you tube videos your trying to embed..
Not all you tube videos will embed.. the format has to be exact, descriptions cannot be too long, there are certain other restrictions too, VEVO You Tube videos for one will not embed.
Zarcon has posted something about this already here, do a search of postings by him.
I hope this helps

I only tried on my 7.0.0 site not the 7.0.2 site, just gave up, now I guess I should try..

we have been experiencing similar issues with our site. sometimes the youtube embed works and sometimes it does not. i have no idea why it is. i wondered if the RMS is overloaded as we are on a shared server but i tried a different youtube url and it worked fine. it seems to be a very strange bug in the code. |

RMS has nothing to do with your embedding of videos

@deano - You are able to embed Vevo in the videos area - or do you mean in posts? |
In my video album in the videos section. I am also refering to the youtube vevo links. Not links from the vevo site itself.
My Evanescence links come from here http://www.youtube.com/user/EvanescenceVEVO which embed just fine.

Hmmm.... that's really wierd. I get a javascript error when I try to embed the same video. I haven't had any major YouTube video hangups that I am aware of, but this one won't embed at all. I don't even get the dreaded "failed" message from the Dolphin script. I just don't get anything.
I wonder why this would act different in different installations? (I'm using 7.0.2 BTW)
I tried it in IE8 and Chrome with the same general results.
SIDE NOTE: I forgot how totally hot that Evanescence gal is. She is really something.

I solved this by switching hosts. The previous host did not allow FFMPEG, which evidently is required for YouTube embedding.
As for providing specific links, it would really just overstate my point to post all 30-40 links that I tried. All of the videos I tried were able to be posted in other websites, and embedding was not disabled by the YouTube uploader.

I was able to embed these videos as well on 7.0.0 and 7.0.2
