Quick Coding Question

I am creating a drop down menu in the join form. I would like to provide a list of choices within that box that's drawn from a specific table in the database and allow the user to choose the one that applies. How would I create that within the profile fields field builder?

Ok. I got this, lol (yeah, right!)

The way I see it, I need to add the list information to the sys_pre_values table and assign it a specific 'key' Then I can link to that 'key' in the advanced box with a - #!keyvalue - and this would draw the information from the pre value list in the database assigned to that specific key value and populate my box right? (I am SO gonna get a beer if I'm right!)

Now, all I need to know is how I can auto-populate the sys_pre_values table each time I add a new value to the site?

CoolCool

As a test, I changed the key values of the last 4 countries listed in the sys_pre_values table. I then cleared my cache and made the necessary change in the profile field editor adding - #!Complex - in the Possible Values field under the advanced tab.saved and closed (I noticed if you don't use a correct link to the table, the editor errors out, nice touch)

I went to the join form and lo and behold, the 4 countries that I changed the key value in appeared in my drop down menu.

This is a HUGE step for me and I am very excited. I just need to figure out how to cause the database table to auto add each value I add in the site to the sys_pre_values table as well.

Comon you geeks, help me out here!

Thanks...Laughing
