RMS Recomendation

Who would you people recommend for External RMS?

I've seen GigaPros offer a Unlimted 10$ a month hosting.. If anyone has experiences with them, or any suggestions for other places, please let me know :)

Thanks!

Since this is a solilcitation for RMS services, may I offer my own RMS Connection.  I provide a free 7 day trial of my RMS Connection in the marketing section of this website so users can try before they buy and see that it does work.  However, you may contact me directly either though my website DolphinInstalls.com in the support section or directly through my Email rms@dolphininstalls.com and I will setup the free trial for you.  My RMS cost $5.49 /  Month and has unlimited bandwidth.  Thanks in advance!

i got free unmetered RMS access on the hosting company i use:

only prob it comes with the hosting package and not standalone, but ok, it still has a fair price since it's all included.

$7.10 monthly, or $20.24 quarterly or $36.21 semiannually or 59.99 annually or even $85.20 for bienial orders... they seem pretty good at it plus i got a 10 day free testing on the RMS. So i get a nice 4.99 a month since i prepaid for the year.

Sounds more than reasonable ydrargyros! I am always on the look out for good, cost effective, hosting for my clients. However WHO do you USE please (you never stated). I used to use Arvixe. They were the host for many of my clients in the past, but no more i.e. bad experiences, cpu usage issues and other stuff.  That is as far as I will comment on the situation.  Had lots of positive experiences though with new and past hosts :) So I am always looking to add new stuff  to my personal list of favourites. As I said, URL please Ydrargryos. Just PM it to me if you dont want to post.

I use www.lamdahost.com. All I can say is that their RMS pretty seems fast (although they only seem to do Dolphin 7 RMS and not dolphin 6 RMS), the MySQL performance is good (unlike Servage. Never go with them if you need to use MySQL in my personal opinion).

lol at Servage. Yes they were my first ever webhost!!!! They are good at normal html serving, but anything remotely MySQL is bad wit htem and I totally agree. I remember being told it was not the servers themselves but the internal network infrastructure connection with the DB servers which had problems. They are top for normal HTML "adult" serving stuff but poor at other things.

Erm okay. Thanks. Just got carried away. I will look at www.lamdahost.com

@emcct

Best way of testing rms is testing it...i was with a paid rms provider before lamdahost, the line was 100mbit but the quality pretty poor (they probably stuck all their users to one rms server)

This is where a week long free trial comes in handy.  If you want more time to evaulate, I will allow a 2 week trial!

yes, that's my point, most of rms providers offer a free testing period...best to do is test as many as you can

I am using a service at http://billing.happy-hosting.com/aff.php?aff=002

They will work with Dolphin 6 versions and the new Dolphin 7 version.

Yearly flat fee.

indeed indeed

Try the rest then you can always come to the best. That would be of course none other than Terabyte Hosting Solutions. I once went fishing in a carp pond. Guess what, i caught a carp.

Figure that one out.

Unlimited bandwidth my ass.  Why do you  tell people that bullshit.  I'm tired of hearing those kind of claims from every hosting company on earth  We all know they are NOT true.  Do you actually expect me to believe that I can have an unlimited number number of concurrent connections to your $5.49 a month RMS and everything will be just fine?

Terabyte-hosting is the only one I could recommend.   At least the Dawg doesn't go around making bullshit claims.

I don't regulate my RMS Connections as the total bandwidth for the server that they are on never gets near its limit.  There is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth for me, but for my clients, they don't have to worry about it...therefore unlimited for them.  I suppose I could make different levels of RMS Connections and charge more for each higher tier, but I like to keep it unlimited for everybody for one decent price.

Well..... if you want to give customers information that is actually useful, tell them what your servers connection speed is... 100mbps?  1000mbps?  How many websites are hosted on the same server?  How many sites are using the same RMS?

My point is, it won't take long to saturate a 100mbps connection, if that's what the rms is hosted on.
