RMS on windows not working

I have opened ports 1935,1936,5080 on my firewall (even tested it with no firewall.

access.dat has roaring.biz in it

all properties files have =* (like my last version of rms working * allows all things)

now rms checked and roaring.biz in the rms address yields can not connect...

I am on a windows xp pro server and it refuses to co-operate...

I can pay for someone to try and set this up via remote access.. but do not have a lot of money...

or if someone can tell me what i am doing wrong it would be appreciateded..

justched.exe java.exe and wrapper.exe are all running...

I remember you.. umm.. hmmm... maybe I'll pay you in advance this time...

if you wanna give it a try.. i remembered everything except for the ports on the rms setup...

probably what's going wrong with it this time too...

quick job hopefully...

nothing much has changed...

I got all the properties set to =*

I got access.dat set to

roaring.biz

mnemonicrom.com

The rms setting for roaring.biz and 24.71.128.137 does not work at all.

firewall allows ports 1935,1936 and 5080 bypassing everything else

He he he, I have to find this funny. I also have experience setting up the Ray Media Server on Windows (ME and XP), but that would ruin the fun, I think. Also, why do you have two accounts now, Roaringbizzz? Or is this your third, seeing as you now have three "z"'s?

well for one he didn't really fix it he just set properties up to =*.. i manually had to hack it out... for two days...

but he did give me the star info so "I guess i owe him something for it....

it's weird.. chat vid works.. boards work.. can't find IM anywhere. but the video uploaded player does not... maybe something wrong with the php.ini code.. can anyone upload there's so i can see if it fixes anything on the player.. even when rms say can not install these features still work

I havn't added RMS yet but I certainly would'nt mind a PM with information to tuck away for a rainy day :)

Any notes on the load this places on the server? I may tuck it back on backup domain controller to try it out.

The Ray Media Server does not have any affect on video uploads, or video playback. Well, unless you are referring to video comments, which are powered by the Ray Media Server. Then in that case, you're all-set on having an appropriate issue.

Also, are you on a router?
