Hello,

The RMS server was up, however I have restarted it.

Can you check now? I don't have a webcam to check the video recording.

If the issue persists, let us know the exact error your getting.

Hi,

www.******.com/administration

I've added www.*********.com to the access list. Currently I only saw *******.com.
Also, I could not login with the credentials you gave us above, so I could not get the settings of your RMS.

For Dolphin v7, go to your Administration panel (ie. domain.com/administration). Under modules -> Flash Apps -> Settings -> You need to check the "Use RMS" and enter the following details:

RMS address/Host: *************
RMS port: 19**
RMS http port: 50**

Hello,

When I did this I experienced no errors on the server, but was not able to record video as the options to record were "grayed out" and unclickable. Please contact Boonex about what can cause this, as Arvixe technicians aren't experts in Dolphin's internal workings. If you can provide us a list of instructions from Boonex to fix this issue we'll be more than happy to help you resolve this.

Seems Arvixe are kicking the blame again, Sorry Mate but I have no idea why anyone would want to host with them and why Boonex still reccommend them, guess cause Boonex get paid for every account they refer.  Move on to another host, at least you might get some clear answers.  I reccommend terabyte Hosting personally

The issue is, I don't believe Arvixe is actually the one to blame here. This would appear to be an error on the user-side of things.

i can confirm its not user side problem as it was working fine with the same settings few weeks ago. so i know hpw to set up RMS and other settings related to it as i am the one who did it last time aswell... i have got the same settings, same url, same ports and chacked all my other settinngs but now it does not wanna start.

also u can see arvixe said " When I did this I experienced no errors on the server, but was not able to record video as the options to record were "grayed out" and unclickable. "  i jst cheked it two minutes ago. and the button works fine no prob with that. so are they making an excuse coz it did not work when they tested it ??

anyone from arvixe wanna answer it ??

RE:

For the benefit of those of us living in a cave, could you please tell me exactly what IS "antone's RMS"?

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

LOL!!! I've got an active hosting in arvixe with dolphin 7 and all work good...even RMS!!!

and... Have you asked to Arvixe the IP address and ports for the LAST version of RMS server???

Quote · 8 Mar 2010

Make sure your hosting provider has the RMS ports open on their server as well since you are only using RMS from Arvixe.

Don't know about this on the D7 RMS, but on the D6 RMS if you had a corrupted/bad Profile Video uploaded then the RMS would jam up and cause errors when subsequent Profile Videos were uploaded until the bad one was cleared out of the RMS.  Have Arvixe check the RMS to see if any bad ones are uploaded.

I am running D7 on Arvixe and RMS works perfectly. I also set up another users account on Arvixe with D7 and it also works with RMS. Could be a problem with whatever server you are on. It could simply be that the server is running out of resources for your account. Are you using one of their 5 dollar a month accounts or do you have a business account? The cheap package will only support around 30 users. Hope this helps.

Hi, McHauhan

I am with Arvixe for one of my Dolphin sites, works fine..
HOWEVER, with the help of John from Terabyte, we found that the FLASH Uploader could be the issue, if you upload with the standard uploading options things work fine..
Try removing that option or first try to upload using the non-flash options..

Let me know how you go..

Regards, Ken
