Random people popup

I got this message while browsing the website. Don't remember if I was logged in or no, but either way, I don't know who this person is. He isn't on my friends list, nor have I ever visited his profile. He wasn't the only one that popped up..

I don't know if this is a bug or a "new feature" that is very annoying and displays when people sign off..

Please let me know if this is a bug or no. Either way it's very annoying.

I think that this is not a bug. Difficult for me to have an exact idea for now... Will see what will happen as soon as I will have D7 working with several thousands of real users... But I think that such online site could be blinking like a Christmas tree :-)

I'm sharing your question... I could be wrong but I think that I already made a ticket about this problem (which was closed) a quite long time ago.

I think, and would like, that these alerts have to be linked to Privacy Settings (no reason to display such alert if, for example, the Offline member is not a friend and Privacy Setting is set to Friends Only) and Presence status (no reason to display such alert if the Offline member did set his Presence status to Offline).

It looks like to me you might have hovered your mouse over the user's avatar.  When you do that on the front page/match pages it bring up that pop-up automaically so you can intereact with the user and not go to their profile page. 

eidt and the randomness may be that the popup is lagging behind has it is wont to do.

You are right mauricecano :-) I already made the same mistake, made a first ticket that was closed. I will close my new ticket too... Thank you ;-)
