Relationship Status not showing in users profile???

I am CERTAIN there is an easy fix, but would really appreciate ANY help telling me how to get that to show up on people's profiles.

is relationship status setting is okay in admin - builder - profile field - view profile?

Check it first.

Yes, it is in there, shows as active.....just can't seem to get it to show up on users profiles.

Ideas?

OK, this is interesting....if I log in as admin, I can see the relationship status.  Logged in as a member at any level, no relationship status displayed.

HELP???
