Remove Avatar Photo thats above the Profile -Avatar Module no installe

I have been all over this site and I have yet to find a direct answer for this.  I personally don't like avatars and it just adds another layer of confusion for the end user.  I am setting up a dating site and I have already removed the Status Message, but the default avatar pic is still there.  I would like to delete that part or make it display nothing in that area.  I currently do not have the avatar module installed on my site installed.

If I have to and it would be easier... I would accept the avatar defaulting the profile pic.

I would appreciate any help that someone can provide me with this.

God Bless,

Ted

Dang... Thanks for the answer back.  Boonex failed on designing the whole PHOTO Module and AVATOR badly.  Uploading a photo is terrible to say the least for a end user.  If they cant figure it out in a minute they move to the next easier site to use.  I have been a long time boonex user since D6 and D7 resolved some issues from that.  I guess D9 will fix D8 issues in 4 years.  It gets old seeing new platforms then finishing a stable version that is needed to have a decent site.  Oh and by decent site I mean over 10,000 users which I haven't seen any Dolphin site to date do this. ;(

Sorry just a rant! *sigh*

Do you have upload phot to on join as mandetory? Its not ideal I know, but it does make iploading the initial image easy for the user. The when the user logs in for the first time theyy are re-directed to set avatar and the photo is in there ready to be set.... Even if half tyhe time users cant be too bothered to set it.....

i know of a dolphin site that is working on its first quarter million members, granted 60 percent are bots,, but that still 80 or so thousand real members,, i would love to buy that data base for emails alone,, ill have 10,00 this summer and none of mine are bots

Yeah I hear ya. Whats that site with ALL these users? Dolphin falls short in a lot of key things I think that makes a community successful on the web. I will continue using it though since its all I have known for about 5 years now. Just taking a while to simplify things. Congrats on your site BTW! I saw it a few days ago. Goodluck with it!

Oh and to go back to the Avator thing... I think that I am just going to change the default image to like the Gender Symbol for a man and femal. I already removed the status portion.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
