Is there a way to restore the original Nav Menus? I took a backup of one I already broke Using builder.

Do you mean by re-installing all the files again or do you mean by just working from the Admin Panel? Did you attempt to install a new menu and that is the problem?
If you attempted to install a new menu, then just go back and undo everything you did. |
No I edited the Forums Link to go somewhere else, then I backed that up, then realized I really need it back. Meanwhile the old link is altered. I just want to start over, now that I know more, without having to undo everything else I did. |
OK, Solved this one myself. Not so detailed solution:
1) Grab a copy of the v61.sql file from the installs folder 2) Create a new db in mysql and import the v61.sql file 3) Back up the topmenu table > topmenu.sql 4) Drop the table from my current db 5) Import the topmenu.sql file.
If anybody needs the details, I'll be glad to go into it. |
I'm going to hate myself come the answer but I have to ask:
Where did you edit the forums link to begin with? It should have been done in the Admin => Builders => Navigation Menu Builder => Forums (orca) link and it should read:
/orca/index.php as the url. |
Nah don't hate yurself. :) First, I dropped into unused section, loosing the the sub items (forgetting them anyways.) Then, I stupidly edited the pointer url. I had gotten it all messed up in other areas too, but I learned alot in the process :-] |
Okay, but did you edit this in the Admin Panel or did you do it in the source files, that's the question. Had you done it in the Admin Panel putting it back is as simple as just dragging and dropping what you want and maybe editing a few buttons to suit your specific needs... I am really scared to hear if you edited a file though. |
I did it in the admin panel (builder), problem was I forgot to take note of what it looked like. I was farting around with it so much it was completely fragged and I just needed to start over. |
