In the past ue30 told me that he would look at updating 'SEO Head Manager D7' when 7.1 was out of beta stage!

at the moment I have a module I paid $55.00 for and it's basically useless ...

Can this be updated please UE30 ?

This seems to be the case for a majority of the modules in the market.

Well I have to say I think it's wrong !!

If developers create modules for Dolphin then ALL modules should be updated to reflect currently dolphin version!

We are encouraged to update software by Boonex however ... currently if you do >> you face the chance of loosing past cash investments (purchasing modules) and hard efforts thanks to modules not being updated ...

When I purchase modules I assume (and I don't think I am wrong either!) that they will always be good for current dolphin version and updated as required for future versions ...

This should be Boonex Law ....

no it is not for 7.1


a new mod for 7.1 will come soon

so:

a new mod doesn´t mean a update.

the seo sitemap generator will not be updated because D7.1 has already a sitemap generator in the system, this is what i alyways tell the people if they ask.

you asked if it works on 7.1, sorry but this you can read in every market article for which version each mod is. if it would be for 7.1 then i would write it there so that people would buy it;)

for updates: every coder decides his self if he will make updates, small or for major.

i made 9 updates for small updates of d7 to 7.0.9 for free, this is no support????

now there is a big major update and this cannot be for free for all mods. this is also not ok that you now want for example for the next ten years free updates. how should this work, all coders work only then for updates? then i stop selling products here. so my customers get for big major updates which are normally every 2 years or so 50% discount.

but for this mod will be NO update because there is a sitemap generator in the system which is much better.

and this is the same for seo head manager, because there is a complete new code.

which the new system this cannot work, so a complete new mod must be coded.

and there will come a complete new seo mod for onpage sitemap and head soon, and for this all will get 50% discount.

i know made some changes on the old seo head manager so that it could work, not tested much.

but this is not what i wanted, because a much better mod should be released.

the old mod works with a call url function which often gives db issues if a spider from searchengine comes ...

if someone of my customers of the old version wants it, write me a message with your email and i will sent it.

but it is not tested so much, for the fast way the old version works for me now, but sent me feedback for issues.

ue30 - what about your other mods?

I have a bunch of them and so far none have been updated.

I understand that the SEO mods may have had so much changed with 7.1 that a complete overhaul is needed, however the other mods just added new page block etc...

Are these going to be updated or will they also be re-released as new mods and re-charged to customers?

the extended mods will be updated for free if i have time, but every mod of them has normaly a manual install.txt or just copy the new blocks from the mod files into your new d7.1 files, because like you said just blocks are added. this is normaly very easy.

I want to make it clear that I am not attacking ue30 !  I am simply looking for solution to keep using quality mods I have paid for!

I have always spoken highly of ue30's modules to others and I don't have any issues personally ...

Chris has always helped when needed and I think this post might has been taken a little wrong?!

I do however stand by what I also said above >>> All modules (from developers at Boonex) at market SHOULD be updated to reflect current dolphin versions ...

Also I am not at all implying there is NO support!   I simply posted in main forum due to fact the mod does not have support forum ...

UPDATE : Chris (ue30) has sent me an updated version of this mod and I am happy to report that it is working perfect with current Dolphin version (7.1.1)!
