SEO question...

Wouldn't it be better if Google bots only crawled on my site's home page?  This way the keywords are about the main subject (dating).  Otherwise, if Google is crawling my entire site (including member profiles) then it may have way too many different keywords (like scuba diving, etc) or something completely unrelated to the main topic...?

What do you think I should do, and how?

Thanks

Ryan

I once thought this as well.  I created 10 pages (including my index page) that were filled with great content and a careful sprinkling of my keywords.  I then created a robots text file to block bots from seeing anything but these 10 perfectly optimized pages.  I ended up going down in the SERPS.

I then removed the robots text file and I went back up.  To be honest, I really have no idea if the robots file actually caused my site to go down.  However, ever since then I decided to just let google and the other search engines see anything and everything they want.

However, I really would love to hear another opinion about this.
