SMTP Mailer & Office 365

Has anyone been able to get SMTP mailer working to send the messages out of Office 365.

We need to send emails via our Office 365 subscription. I have enabled the SMTP mailer module and configured everything according to: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/How-to-set-up-a-multifunction-device-or-application-to-send-email-using-Office-365-69f58e99-c550-4274-ad18-c805d654b4c4?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US from Microsoft on how to relay email from a MFP or Application. This works fine for me for all kinds of solutions from MFP devices to other email servers.

I have configured a connector with Office 365 so it will accept all email that comes from my server IP address without any auth as specified in Option 3 (in the link above).

According to the instructions I set the SMTP server as the same as our MX record ie sampledomain-com.mail.protection.outlook.com. . Port 25, TLS enabled, email address in Office 365 sample@sampledomain.com as Override Default Sender Email Address. That is all that is required to get Office 365 to relay email. I have this working for many other services with out flaw. When I try to send a test email it fails. Even if I try to do Option 1 in the link above which uses an actual Office 365 that it authinticates with and then it does not use the connector with the white listed IP address and it still fails. Anyone ever get SMTP Mailer to work with Office 365?

Port 25, TLS enabled

If TLS is enabled, use 587 port.
