SMTP with Authentication

Hi Folks,

Running Dolphin on a Shared Linux Server.

I need to have Dolphin generated emails sent via SMTP with Authentication. I am struggling to figure out how to do it. There doesn't appear to be an option built into Dolphin to choose that method.

Could anyone give me any tips how setup Dolphin to do this? Are there any add-ins, mods, etc. that could be used for this purpose?

TIA

not 100% sure but i think you might be able to set this up within your php.ini, if someone familiar with this setup could post a guide or try googling for more info.

Hello TIA,

Try to have a look at my SMTP mailer:

It replaces Dolphin code to send every mail through my SMTP mailer, it supports authentication.

Thanks for the replies kosmic and kolimarfev.

A followup question for you Alex..as I was reading your site it appears that I would need PHPmailer installed first in order for your mod to work..is that correct?

Thanks!

It uses PHP Mailer and it is already in the package, all you need is this mod.

Thanks Alex..it sounds just like what I need!

Are there any problems using it with Dolphin 6.1.6 that you are aware of?

Thanks

You are welcome.

This mod was successfully installed on different versions of Dolphin 6.1.x.

The only problems I have experienced was because of wrong settings.

I have readme file where all settings are described.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
