Saving any changes doesn't work!

I've got some major problems with my site but I really can't find the reason for it.

1. User or admin can't save changes made in profile. When you change something in profile and save it everything looks ok (you get the message "successfuly changed..."); but changes aren't saved when you check the profile.

2. Some users are sending me emails that they can't login to their account. Some weeks ago noone reported this. Could this happened to those that didn't submit their true email (but some fake email) and I approved their profile manualy in admin area?

Recently the only change I made on the site was integrating the phpbb3 forum (esase payable modul).

Please help me because I'm loosing users & site usage because of this. If there's someone who's really good in programming or knows Dolphin's code I can give him server access to fix it. Please!

ups, forgot something.

3. Some users also reported that they can't change password.... probably those are the same that can't login..

4. Some users don't get confirmation email (yahoo, hotmail,..)

I made some changes to files when integrating phpbb3 module. The owner of module said that this can't be related.

Other changes I made were only design stuff.

I also wrote to boonex mail; they said "Try to delete the contents of the cache folder and save changes again."

I can only delete files in cache folder (there are profiles of users - .php files). I deleted the files; then the files were automaticly created again immidiately. What did the mean with "save changes again"?

Could there be something about database? - because phpbb3 forum uses the same database users table as Dolphin.

If someone can match these information together and get the solution / where to fix the problem... it would be great

I'm still at the same spot

I (as admin) can't change profiles & users can't change their profiles. There are problems with logging on the site and changing passwords.

Please experts help me

Humpty Dumpty sat on a Geat Wall, Humpty Dumpty had a Great Fall.

Now that I got that out of my system.  Who's mod did you use for the phpBB3 integration?  eSASe's or someone else's.  I have always said to use the one from eSASe, Sasha knows what he's doing and it works everytime.  Next, what Dolphin version are you running?  6.1.4, .6, .5, .3?  We need to know these things to know what you did.  Version of phpBB3 that your running.  If it's anything except phpBB3.1.3 then your in trouble with that modification, as I have not seen anyone update the mod for phpBB3 to include the 3.1.4 version which is substantially different.

Now, this leaves you in a predicament.  In addition, I have seen changes to layouts/templates affect the ability of other items that should not be related to quit working.  Suggestion, return the site to what it was prior to your changes, I know you saved copies of all your files.  Then, give us the versions of Dolphin & phpBB3 & the mod your using.

Do not make any additional changes beyond returning it to what it was before you started fiddling.  Remember, fiddle with one thing at a time, ensure it's correct then fiddle with another.  Sorta like girls, only play with one at a time or you may get in hot water with them both.

I bought eSASe's module. In readme.txt it says:
1. Integration module for the phpBB3, version 1.1
2. For Dolphin 6.1

I've got 6.1.4 Dolphin. PHPBB3 forum is 3.0.4 version. Forum & integration works fine.

Are this versions ok and compatible?

The only thing I changed within this integration were paths to the forum. Instead of "phpbb3" I used "forumi". I've changed this paths in all files I was modifying ( those files that needed changes for integration purposes).

I can go back with "uninstalling phpb3 module" process but I'm afraid that than anything won't work :/

I have installed eSASe version with 6.1.6 and phpBB3.04 its working. Only thing what is not working I had to made a new page and want to insert phpbb3 into the dolphin theme. I don't get this working.

but both use the same user database and work perfect. New users register by the join page of dolphin.

Per Kiillerhaii

Now, I did attempt to do an integration a while ago of Dolphin 6.1.4 using phpBB3.0.4 and found it took quite a bit of editing beyond what the mod called for as it was not a direct fit.  Since that time 6.1.6 has been released so eSASe's mod may have been updated to cover 6.1.6 & 3.0.4.  But as I said it was not a direct fit as in just follow the instructions and everything was a perfect match across the board as 3.0.4 is a completely different beast than 3.0.3 is.

Now, with this in mind, the Opie is attempting to install 6.1.4 with 3.0.4.  Now he has eSASe's mod version 1.1 (what is the mod version you use killerhaii, I had he very first version when he first came out with it myself.)  Now the last update of eSASe's mod is listed as July 2008, that means it was released shortly after 6.1.4 was released, but long before phpBB 3.0.4 was released (it was released around January/February I believe)

Are you starting to see something here Opie?  Just because it says its compatible with Dolphin 6.1.4 & phpBB 3.0.X only means it's compatible with the versions of them up to the date the mod was released.  Not a good thing at all.  I know you say you have it working, but your also saying since you put it in your having problem.  Either it's this integration was pieced together by you since you installed 3.0.4 with 6.1.4 or something else is wrong with your system and your just thinking it's this integration modification.
