Says emails but no emails when looking !?

Some of my users have said that there account shows they have emails when infact they have been deleted etc !?

After checking test account I  also have no emails as I deleted them and even my account says I have 2 mail ????

Whats going on and how can I fix this please ???

Good luck. I've had 3 emails in my system since 7.01. Some have tried, I've even tried to fix it in my database all to no avail. Now we're in version 7.06 and I think the problem will carry over to 7.1

When u delete the message, and u havent read the message, then the status of this message stays NEW ... as is NEW message

anyways, i havent checked, but i do think this is the problem.

Status should be set to NULL .. when the message is deleted.
