Search doesn't work correctly

I built a site for a gay client. In the search dropdowns, for I am a and Searching For, instead of Male and Female there are 16 options, such as gay male, bi male, bi female, lesbian, male/male couple, male/female couple, trans male, trans female, etc. I have the I AM A search  to match with Searching for, I have the Searching for to match with I AM A. It doesn't work correctly, many times the search finds people who are looking for what I searched for, rather than what I am searching for. I added another search called Looking For for the simple search, matching up with I Am A. Since this is the only search box in the simple search, I made the Match percent 100, also tried 50. Using only this search box, I still get incorrect results. How can I get this to work correctly?

Is there another way I can configure the search boxes to function with this many search options? What am I missing? It seems that if I use just the Looking For box as described above and matched it to the I am A box it should bring up all the people searched for, but it doesn't, it misses lots of them and it adds in people that should not be included.

Anyone got any ideas?

Check captions of these fields 'I am' and 'search for'

As I remember it was messed since 7.0

look:

'_FieldCaption_Sex_Search' => 'Looking for',

'_FieldCaption_LookingFor_Search' => 'I am a',

you should swap values

Thanks, Andrew, but I already dealt with that trying to figure this out.  '_FieldCaption_Sex_Search'  doesn't apply here since there are 16 option, not just male and female. I am using the following:

'_FieldCaption_IAMA_Search' => 'I am a',

'_FieldCaption_SearchingFor_Search' => 'Searching for',

IAMA and SearchingFor are matched with each other but I am still not getting the correct results. Even though there are 16 options when someone uses SearchingFor it should still look into the options for IAMA, shouldn't it?

Any other ideas?
