Possible security attack!!! All data has been collected and sent to the site owner for analysis.
I've gotten this error multiple times while trying to post a news feed? Anyone else have this issue?
Using Firefox.. also happened in IE earlier as well.

Me too. I just tried posting a blog and got the 'Possible security attack!!! All data has been collected and sent to the site owner for analysis". And when I checked the blog in Admin, its not even posted for Admin to approve. Anyone? |
Turn it off. It doesn't work. |
Important to note, when you copy a long post and paste to a blog or elsewhere in the website, you must use the TinyMce HMTL editor. When you copy from one program to another many extra pieces of information gets copied over as well (Word has soo much extra hidden crap). By Using the HTML editor all that extra info is striped out and your text will go in fine and will not give PA errors. |
Yeah, but you can even paste from notepad and it will set that thing off sometimes. It just doesn't like cut and paste operations for some reason - even though people do it all the time in blogs. |
I know, I'm just saying how to avoid the PA issue. I see them in my joins where people cut and paste and it gives a PA (I have emails set at 12, stopping at 22). But it is also a good system to have. It has stopped several true malicious code inserts and prevented a competitor or two from uploading their own spam. |
Oddly, even if I HAND type a long post, I get the errors, still. I have my settings at the recommended levels, and regardless of whether or not I copy/paste from notepad, or hand type, I get the errors. I tested this extensively last night, doing both a copy/paste, an edit, and just typing randomly, and in all 3 cases (it was actually a total of 12 blog entries) I got the errors, and eventually the e-mails. I'm at a ;pss personally.
They really sucky thing, is I see my members getting the same thing, and they just eventually go away. For a new site that's public, these issues really can hurt :(

I took the initiative to shut off this feature on all of my web sites, as it only proves to be a retarded guard dog on cocaine. I fail to see any loss of security with it disabled, and if something is to arise, then I will manage it like I did with my web sites when they were powered by the previous release. in admin panel under advanced settings and the other tab, there are two settings default is set to 9 and 27, to disable this just set them both to -1

Thanks ,
I tried the option provided by you 'SIR' and it works fine.
P.S : Just want to know if after this setting will the security of boonex will be reduced to 'Zero' or what will happen with this parameter?

dont really know what will happen, but anything is better than getting those off the hook emails. you can set the numbers to just above the impact number that is being reported, you will have to keep tweaking this setting depending on what you are allowing to be done on your site.

Mauricecano is correct on this issue. Before I read his post I actually was "Copying" & "Pasting" info from another blog that I had.
I would use a different text editor.. BUT... one thing that worked for me is.. After I pasted the new information, I just changed the font style and it worked perfectly!
The only time it mainly happened with me is using the Default text.

Well if you set the phpid to off, then it could be happen that you got sql imjections like I had two times on my main site. It was all links to dangerous sites. I had to set the ip of these ataaks to my servers blacklist. Kids first |
