Setting up a new site - suddenly no access

Hi - I have been setting up a new site, adding new profile fields, etc.   Tonight I added some matching to some profile fields and got some database errors when I added new test accounts, but didn't notice anything else unusual except that it didn't take me to the set avatar page.  Later, when I logged in with one of the test accounts, I got an "access denied" when I tried to set the avatar.  I assumed I must have done something wrong with the membership level permissions, or some other setting, but when I went back to the admin panel (different browser) it had logged me off.  When I tried to log back on, it wouldn't accept my admin password.   I then tried to log in to the test accounts I had set up, and could not gain access to them either, even though I had already been in one of them.  Cleared the cache manually and tried again but no effect.  Then I went to the db, and copied the password and salt fields from the test account I had just set up, (where I was positive of the password) and put them in the admin profile record.   Tried to login to admin again with this password and still no access.  I'm stumped.  Does anyone have any clue as to what is going on?  Have I somehow trashed an install, or can this be salvaged?

Thanks

Rob

If I recall, others have reported similar issues when doing similar tasks as you were.

I don't recall any solutions, though. A search might yield something (yeah right).

Thank you I think I found it.  It appears I used a reserved system word.
