Hey everyone I don't know if it really is worth all the trouble of upgrading what will I have to redo if I did upgrade, can someone give me there opinion and expertise thanks!

v7.0.9 includes security fixes, so I would recommend at least attempting an upgrade. You should have marked down your changes to core files somewhere, so this should help you to modify the patch.
