Shrinktheweb IP address? Need it to make sites work

Hi - I am using a shared server and my hosting company says they need the IP address of shrinktheweb so they can give it permissions with their firewall.  Does anyone here know?

Update:  I just found this discussion on the shrinktoweb site - it seems to be current from just a few days ago.  Could someone tell me what I have to do, in terms of making this work.  I am on the shrinktoweb mailing list, and it seems like they are always complaining about something.   Here is the link:

Wannabe - well there sure are!   In my case, I would like it to work even poorly, and for that I need the IP address - does anyone have it, or know how to get it?

ping from a dos shell

images.shrinktheweb.com

but it doesnt guarantee that you might end up on other servers of STW with another ip addresses

best way is to contact shrinktheweb, they are extremely helpfull

Yes, they are trying to help and want someone from Boonex to contact them - see above thread.    From what I have gathered, they changed their procedure and you are now required to register your IP address with them.   I have done that, but it still doesn't work.  It is unclear to me whether I am supposed to take the security key and access code from my account on ShrinkTheWeb and transfer those numbers to the Dolphin install, or if I should keep the security key that was there when I installed Dolphin.   Does anyone know?   My host has whitelisted their IP, but I still can't make it work.

In theory, you add your new access and security codes/keys to your dolphin install instead of the ones that were originally there. In practice, it still won't make it work since the dolphin developers have evidently decided that it wasn't a big deal to have the changes at shrinktheweb integrated into the dolphin site module so that it actually works.

Tick the Logging box, add some sites to your site, check on their page in the logs and see what IP addresses that you get denied from, add those ips to your list, repeat until solved ;)

Ticked the logging box and it still isn't loading thumbnails no matter how many times the page is refreshed during the add-site process.

That simple fix didn't work for my site. I added the ip of my site weeks ago, still not working.

Hello!

We have heard from several users who would like to see a better integration with our service and we would like that also! Therefore, we have launched a contest for Dolphin developer's to get that accomplished, drum up some friendly competition, and reward the lucky winners. If you know any "Dolphin" developer gurus, be sure to point them to the announcement "Note":

Thanks!
