Signature line is D U L L S V I L L E !

The signature line in Boonex is really sad. You can't do anything with it like change the text color, bold it, add a banner image, or a small photo.

Sure would be nice if we could format it.Cool

It's meant to be basic. I don't want people adding 100 lines of image spam as their signature.

I agree with SkyForum, It's basically useless the way it is.

@Nathan

The orca forum really sucks, that's why I won't use it on my site. What ever Boonex dose here is their business. But as for dolphin, It should be coded with admin settings to allow  X number lines of text and X number of static or animated images in the sig box. In Fact the entire forum should just be rewritten from the ground up using PHP.

It is written in PHP. It uses XSLT for the templates (unless I'm horribly wrong here).

I'll make a ticket for more control over signatures, but when it comes to Unity, it should be left basic. You can unleash the horror of formatted signatures on your own sites. I tried to warn you.

If it's giving you errors, it means you're doing it wrong.

My mistake, It is written in php. It's been a few years since I looked at it's code. XSLT is What i was referring to.

Not all sites are dating related.  In fact, none of mine are. My biggest site related to towing & recovery and they love being able to place an image banner as their signature.

Why can't the editor used in the fish forum be set so you can use the same editing tools for the signature line?

I can only assume they wanted to keep it basic (read: less time spent). I've opened a ticket and we'll see where it goes from there. I think it's a reasonable request, so long as people have some control over it.

I've been a premium member for some time now and I have never taken the time to learn how to do that. Everyone else is always so eager to do it for me.

Cool
